Drills are very useful tools in the house or any construction site. These are mostly used in wood crafting, metal works, and some school projects. A carpenter, an artist, or any ordinary person can use it for their jobs/craft or any minor fixings at home. There are many types of drills with specific functions. It can be for carving, bolting a screw, or boring holes in several types of surfaces.
Drills dates way back in Egypt times. The ancient drills were rudimentary. It needed human effort to make it work. Men easily get tired when working on hard and solid surfaces. They would strain their muscles with continued use.
Gone are these days. There are many types of drills now with easy functions. Modern drills are powered with electricity to lift the heavy task off men. A simple machine attached relieves men of much of the work. It is now easier to manipulate with a simple push of a button, or pulling a trigger. More work output is done. People become more productive and a lot of time is saved.
Cordless drills are another type. These are powered with rechargeable batteries. They are designed like hammer drills and are very handy. It is very portable and easy to store after use. Cordless drills are commonly seen in houses. It easily fits a tool box for safe keeping and is enough for minor repairs.
Drills are tools that also make use of accessories such as drill bits. Drill bits are items connected to the tip of the drill. There are many different drill bits for different purposes including the wood bits, the metal bits, and the masonry bits. In wood bits the drill bits are specially made to drill holes on any type of wood depending on what the user wants.
Some wood bits are made for some certain purpose like carving some wood or putting an electric box. In metal bits the bits should be sturdier so that when the drill is used on any metal the tip will not break easily. Metal bits are often used on pipes or when drilling a hole on some metal parts of a building. As for the masonry bits, it is commonly used on stones and walls.
